   The sales tax free Lakes Region is large enough to attract the big department stores and yet small enough to allow that friendly small town atmosphere. We've got all the stores you can think of, and some you probably can't. Just five miles from the Weirs sits Meredith, a town known for its many quaint Antique and Specialty shops. Further south of the Weirs, in Tilton, sits the factory store shopping capital of the Lakes Region. Expect to find over 50 brand name stores in a huge complex known as the Tanger Outlet Center Stores. Shopping in Laconia and the Weirs itself will feature a well mixed blend of everything in between what Meredith and Tilton don't cover.
